It is the intention of St. Vincent’s Religious Education Department to serve our children and their families, to focus on meeting the spiritual, emotional and faith-based needs of our parish congregation, while also maintaining and supporting the integrity of family life.

Religious Education

Babysitting (Toddlers)

Sundays 2x / month 10:30AM- 12:30 PM – Offered for toddlers on the Sunday sessions of Family Faith Formation at 10:30 AM.

Family Faith Formation Session A and Session B (K-8th Grade)

Sundays 1x /month 10:30AM- 12:30 PM – Family Formation is a family based catechetical program for families with children K- 8, which includes an adult formation component. This structured formation will allow families at St. Vincent’s the opportunity to grow together in the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith: through volunteer, theological reflection, attendance at Mass, home study, on-line learning, and activities which will enrich and cultivate faith in the home.

Edge (7-8th Grade)

Sundays 9:15-10:45 AM - Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe, fun environment for youth to find solid Catholic community , to get answers to their questions about faith, and most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational and spiritual maturation of middle school youth.

Life Teen (9-12th Grade)

Sunday evenings after the Life Teen Mass (5:30 PM- 8:30 PM)– Life Teen is a Catholic youth ministry movement , focusing on leading teens to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the sacramental power present within the young Church, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.



Sacraments

First Reconciliation ~  Blessed- Matthew Kelly

Sunday mornings 10:30-11:30 AM -Second graders will receive First Reconciliation instruction with a parent/ care giver for 6 sessions. The parent/care giver will be present in the classroom to learn alongside their child as they become more familiar with the sacrament. Meeting dates : October 28, January 20, January 27, February 24, March 17, March 24.

First Communion ~ Blessed – Matthew Kelly

Sunday mornings 10:30-11:30 AM - Third graders will receive First Communion instruction with a parent/ care giver for 6 sessions. The parent/care giver will be present in the classroom to learn alongside their child as they become more familiar with the sacrament. Meeting dates : October 28, January 20, January 27, February 24, March 17, March 24.

Confirmation Preparation Program ~Chosen –Christopher Stefanek

Parochial and public school 9th and 10th grade students are invited into the Confirmation program to better understand how they may use their gifts to be Christ in our world by serving neighbor and community. Teens preparing for Confirmation are also responsible for service hours, soup kitchen experience, and paperwork pertinent to the requirements of this program. Teens must attend 7 classes per year which will be presented in a Life Teen setting.
