It is the intention of St. Vincent’s Religious Education Department to serve our children and their families, to focus on meeting the spiritual, emotional and faith-based needs of our parish congregation, while also maintaining and supporting the integrity of family life.

Fall Programs

Babysitting ~ Offered for Pre-K on the Sundays of Religious Education during 11:00 AM Mass. Children can joyfully experience the learning of our Catholic faith with others their age. No registration or tuition necessary.

Traditional Religious Education Classes                                                        

(Kindergarten-6th grade) Sundays 9:15-10:45 AM -The Alive in Christ series will engage your child in a 3 step process by inviting them through prayer to learn about the Catholic faith, promoting discovery through practical catechesis, and ultimately lead your child to live out their faith every day.

Edge (7-8th Grade) Sundays 7-8:30PM- Pre-teens are invited to come and celebrate (6PM) Mass and learn more about their Catholic Faith. During the Edge program 7th and 8th grade students are invited to learn and share more about their faith with other early teens. The Edge program is designed to meet the educational, spiritual, emotional and social needs of young adolescents.                                             

Family Religion Classes ~ Spend time as a family and learn more about our Catholic faith together! Family Religion is offered on one Sunday / month from 10:30 AM-12:15 PM.

First Reconciliation ~ Second graders will receive First Reconciliation instruction during their class time in the Traditional Religious Education and Family Religion programs.

First Communion ~ Third graders will receive First Communion instruction during their class time in the Traditional Religious Education and Family Religion programs.

Life Teen Classes ~ High school students are invited to come and celebrate (6 PM) Mass and learn more about their Catholic faith (7-9 PM). Public school students attend Life Teen in order to meet the basic religious education requirements mandated by the Buffalo Diocese.

Confirmation Preparation Program ~ Parochial and public school 9th and 10th grade students are invited into the Confirmation program to better understand how they may use their gifts to be Christ in our world by serving neighbor and community. Teens preparing for Confirmation are also responsible for service hours, soup kitchen experience, and paperwork pertinent to the requirements of this program. Teens must attend 6 classes per year which will be presented in a Life Teen setting.


Family Bible Camp: (last week in June) Join us for some summertime fun as your family experiences the joy of learning more about their Catholic faith! This program is designed to be highly interactive and engaging for all families. Singing, snacks, crafts, and outdoor activities will give your child the interactive experience to reinforce their understanding of our precious Catholic faith. Enrollment for VBS will be posted on the website and in the parish bulletin. We are always looking for volunteers to help out too!
